I’ll keep this one short and sweet. I fucking love my job. I love my football club. When the two combine I put my blood sweat and tears into it. I hope it shows.

160 years. One of the oldest clubs in the world. Back in Europe after 30 years. Wearing one of the most beautiful kits we’ve had. As always my family are front and centre. They’re the reason I’m here and named after one of the guys that feature in this film. One of my heroes, psycho himself, Stuart Pearce. A golden week in La-La Land 👑

We took over the historic Million Dollar Theatre to celebrate the release of the new @adidasfootball Mexico Jersey.

On the week my brother @edsonnalvarez and his team lifted the Concacaf Nationa League trophy, “On A Plate” honoured LA’s Mexican-American community, the gathering fused football, heritage, and creativity, bringing together artists, players, and visionaries in an unforgettable tribute.

I also managed to squeeze in a quick talk at @mls annual consumer products summit and smash up a few vintage mustangs and mercs. All in all, a solid week 🫡

When I was 10 years old I begged and begged and begged my mum / grandad / grandma for a pair of Adidas Predator Manias. That dream came true and I wore them to sports day at school the same day and came last in the 100m race. 17 years later I got the chance to interview David Beckham with Soccerbible and Adidas to take a look at his personal collection of Preds, I told him this story, I thought that was where my dream stopped.

23 years after that infamous sports day, the villain (me) finally got his revenge on all of those people that laughed at me coming last. I have the huge honour and privilege of saying I have proudly directed a long form documentary about the Adidas Predator.

Ive always wanted to make something meaningful with one of my best pals and sidekicks @iampetemartin. ‘Under The Tongue’ is it. He lost his gran on the day we shot with Zidane and on the day we shot with Becks, DB recorded the most beautiful message to mine for her 80th. A perfect Yin to the Yang along the way.

The film features the legendary Craig Johnston, @judebellingham, @davidbeckham, @zidane, @louist91, @enialuko, @aitanabonmati, @trentarnold66, @alessia, @jelaniblackman and lots more legends of the game.

With a huge Premier last week at the Iconic KOKO with all of my family and friends (the first venue I ever went to in London to cause some chaos as a teen), no other boot on this planet is able to have a documentary about it. There might be good campaigns, colour ways or players attached to some, but Joga Bonito and the cage can get in the bin on this occasion. The Adidas Predator is the boot that anyone in this generation has a memory to. Jude says it best, they’re the bollocks, man.

Constantly looking for ways to reshape the game, I genuinely think that what we achieved with these events will shape the way clubs and brands alike interact, and celebrate the consumer and creatives that help shape the future of the sport away from the pitch.

From donning the mic hosting the round table discussions, to designing ceramic plates, creating a speakeasy barbershop entrance that leads into a nightclub or simply choosing what Adidas outfit to wear (ruin), it’s been one hell of a show. The talent that came through the door was second to none, some new friends have been made, and old ones cherished.

In March 2023, me @iampetemartin and @iammaximilianiam headed west to document @stlcitysc’s first season in the MLS.

Half a year later, a 300 page piece of history has been published.

Its hard for me to describe STL. I’m lucky enough for Football to take me to all corners of the planet, but there’s something about this place that scares me and excites me all at once. It’s a perfect chaos. I can firmly say I’m now a Ravioli Boy 4 Lyf.

My work has always lived online. To create something tangible and cradle it is something else. I finally understand why people have kids…

Watching the @davidbeckham doc on Netflix got me thinking back to the time we spent an hour together and I told him about me being fat running a 100m skipping race in my new preds.

Another thing I regret that day is requesting Adidas for a red velour tracksuit, knowing full well I have a bright red complexion and was about the meet every child’s hero.

Sports fans rejoice, the season hasn’t started and I’m about to blow your head off.

Where do I start with this. I thought working with footballers was tough, how about every athlete under the sun…. 11 shoot days, 4 million head losses, 1 incredible team to kick off the global launch of TNT Sports. What an incredible honour to be part of sports broadcasting history.

One of my most ambitious yet challenging projects to date, the aim was always to create something that has a more grounded feel, away from the suits of “other broadcasters”, TNT was all about bringing it back to the fans, the comedy moments, playful and not taking itself too seriously.

Thanks to everyone involved it’s genuinely been a pleasure. @katebrady92 for making sure I didn’t blink every minute of the day, everyone at @riffrafffilms as always for being legends, @Luke.c.harper for baring with me during moments of 11 shoots madness and bringing it all to life, the incredible talented people of @saatchiuk for giving me this opportunity and believing in me on the rollercoaster.
